http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=13936 Translate task should have better behavior when a key is not found Summary: Translate task should have better behavior when a key is not found Product: Ant Version: 1.5.1 Platform: All OS/Version: Windows NT/2K Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: Other Component: Optional Tasks AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] The Translate task currently does the following when a key can't be found in any of the property files: 1. It replaces the delimiter tokens + key with just the key. In other words, "#mykey#" becomes "mykey". 2. It logs a debug-level message indicating that the key couldn't be found. I would prefer that: 1. It leaves the matched string untouched. That is "#mykey#" remains "#mykey#". This will make it easier to locate the problematic key in the source file. 2. It logs a more visible warning or error. Chances are I forgot to add a key to the properties file, had a typo, or matched something was wasn't supposed to be matched. The first cases are errors that I would like the task to help me catch. The latter is something you hope doesn't happen (I'll log an enhancement on that subject later). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
