*ugh* - politics! Not my forte at all.
I have been getting reorg and now community e-mails but I haven't been able to follow them closely. I'm +1 on Centipede becoming a subproject of Ant (why not?), but if there are hidden agendas or other weird effects of ant.apache.org, then I'm +0 - I didn't realize it was to pull it out from under Jakarta.
I'm -1 on politics! :)

Erik - I think the important part of the proposal ( if you haven't followed reorg ) is about moving ant out of jakarta.
The fact that ant is a great project and adding centipede to ant, as well as ant.apache.org are more of a red herring.
Please specify if your +1 on centipeded and +1 on ant.apache.org also reffers to moving ant out of jakarta.

Ant is a very famous project, with a big user and developer base. As you may know Krysalis Centipede www.krysalis.org/centipede/ uses Ant heavily, and could be interested joining the Apache Ant project as a subproject. I'm quite sure that many Ant-based tool would like to.
+1 on this
So, the question is, what do you think about making ant.apache.org?
+1
I'll be at ApacheCon, in case my in-person presence is relevant.
