Noone has deleted the link from http://ant.apache.org/manual/api/ to http://ant.apache.org/manual/api/packages.html .
But "Apache Ant API has not been generated" message let me think that there will be an API doc ...
This construction allows one link to work whether the javadocs are generated using JDK 1.1 or JDK 1.2+ We take our 1.1 compatability seriously (don't we Steve?)
If you checkout from CVS and then build Ant, this placeholder will be replaced with the actual API documentation. This is also the case for the binary downloads
What is on the Website is just checkout out of CVS and has not had the API doco generated.
