Quite possible, I've just committed Jens' patch 8-)

I question whether we should follow Xalan's rules over TraX rules (if there
are any), but then again, I haven't read the TraX spec either.  I was relying on
Stephane (and always would do so again, Stephane! ;-).

If you think the patch doesn't help, feel free to modify it - we should try to 
keep
some level of backwards compatibility with the default here, though.  AFAIU, 
Saxon
doesn't have problems with the way we use the processor.
