Why "build.xml"?

Can I suggest that ant also look for a file "build.ant" by default?  I'm
not suggesting breaking backward compatability.

When I first started working with xml, I too used .xml as the default
file type.  But in reality, while it IS an .xml file, it is also an ANT
file, and have a "filetype" that indicates that would make a lot of
sense to me.
