running ant

Hello, 
I was using ant on linux mandrake 7.0 and jdk1.3 from sun
and it worked fine.

I swap to a linux debian and jdk1.3 from sun (the same)

Strangely, I have now to start ant with java -classic
else it crash when using javac.

any ideas ?
