How to do something only when it is needed ?

Hi,

This is probably the most stupid question ever (but I can't find the answer
so I'll ask it anyway).

Some of my tasks should only be executed when some files are modified, how
can I tell the task that ?

Thanks I'm sure I missed that in the docs (read it a couple of times
though).
