I understand the reasons why the optional.jar builds do not always include everything. I think most of the confusion stems from folks expecting a distribution to be complete (whether that's a realistic expectation is a whole different conversation!). Perhaps a "readme" file could be generated as part of the build which identified 1) which optional components are included in the JAR, and 2) (more importantly) which optional components were not included. It could also contain a message as to how to best resolve the situation (download the standalone, build your own, etc). -jason
