copy's preservelastmodified

Setting the attribute for copy's preservelastmodified="yes" does not seem to
be working for me (it behaves as if its set to "no").  I'm using Ant 1.4
alpha.  Has anyone had success with it in either 1.4 alpha or 1.3?
