Thanks for volunteering your services.
The javac task can generate output and place it in a specified log file by
using the 'logfile' attribute. What I'm looking for is to simply convert
this information to an XML format.
I did begin to take at Alexandria (as suggested by another person), but
haven't found exactly what I need.

Does anyone have or know of a taskdef (or attribute) that can be used to
generate Ant output, in particular build logging information, in XML?
I know that there are classes such as XmlLogger and other associated classes
and methods to accomplish this, but I don't want to reinvent the wheel ;)
