Hmm, did you get any error messages while untarring the source archive (the file names for the files inside this package exceed the magical 100 character limit of tar)? If so, see <http://jakarta.apache.org/ant/faq.html#no-gnu-tar>. You may want to give the zip version a try (your JDK's jar can unzip them, if you don't have zip on your box).
