I believe Stefan was trying to suggest that although you've *declared* that your file 
is in UTF-8, it might *actually* be in a different encoding. How are you saving it, 
and with what editor?

ISO-8859-1 will be, but I don't see any reason why you shouldn't use UTF-8.
