Ant is not a procedural language, it's declarative. Putting in procedural bit's might seem to simplify builds but really it just turns ANT into a bista mongrel. Anytime you have more than one way of doing something you are going to end up confusing people. If you really need procedural functionality, use the script task, thats what its for.
