Well, you could do:
<target name="targetx">
<!-- perform targetx tasks -->
<antcall target="targety" />
</target>
<target name="target">
<!-- perform targety tasks -->
</target>
or
<target name="targetx"
depends="-do-targertx, targety" />
<target name="-do-targertx">
<!-- perform targetx tasks -->
</target>
<target name="target">
<!-- perform targety tasks -->
</target>
The - in front of target name -do-targertx makes it difficult (impossible ?)
to call -do-targertx from the command line. The public targertx (a
meta-target really) always performs targety after a successful targetx.
Is that what you wanted? --DD
PS: Some people seem to say one should not abuse <antcall>...
