Regardless of the value of the UPDATE tag, the JAR file I wish to create does not get overwritten. But perhaps I misunderstand the purpose of UPDATE. I thought that the default setting (no) would generate a new JAR file even though the underlying class files had not changed (for instance if I am only playing around with the BASEDIR tag). Am I wrong?
