The Foreign Ministry said that former SS people keep gathering, the authorities silently conniving. A regular "session" of this kind took place August 4 near the town of Tukums. The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that this event confirmed one more time that fascism is not a notion of the past for some people in Latvia. It was near Tukums that the well-known course on reconsideration of the WWII results developed, which caused dissent in the Latvian society itself. Russia's attitude towards attempts to reconsider history is clear, said the Foreign Ministry, - they can only cause indignation. Together with putting forward absurd demands to Russia, the meeting's participants developed scenarios of how to make a part of Latvian residents leave the country.
