[Unless they're in uniform. With NATO insignia

dangerous missions in Kosovo and be attacked by KLA

No, the best jobs go to the Western Herrenvolk; the
worst deployments are reserved for the Eastern
Untermenschen, who are even denied the degrading role
of Gastarbeiter.

Schroeder Insists on Seven-year Polish Labor Movement
Ban
SZCZECIN, POLAND, Aug 15, 2001 -- (dpa) German
Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder was expected on Tuesday
to underscore his demand that Polish workers be barred
working in Germany for seven years after Poland's
admission to the European Union.
A one-day meeting of Schroeder and Polish President
Aleksander Kwasniewski and Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek
in Szczecin - a German city called Stettin until the
Nazi World War II defeat in 1945 - was also expected
to focus on trade and transport issues.
Leaders from both countries are accompanied by
industrialists and Schroeder has brought the head of
Germany's national railway to the meeting.
Schroeder's insistence that Polish labor stay out of
Germany for seven years after Warsaw's entry to the
European Union (EU) is based on fears that cheaper
Polish workers will exacerbate the already grim
economic situation on Germany's eastern border.
"This will prevent price and wage-dumping for a
transition period," said Schroeder in remarks to
reporters.
Unemployment in some German districts along the Polish
frontier runs higher than 24 percent, compared with
the national rate of 9.2 percent.
Poland, which is expected to become an EU member in
2003 or 2004, opposes a forced transition period for
free labor movement.
Schroeder is currently at the start of a two-week trip
along Germany's border with Poland and the Czech
Republic in a bid to bolster support for EU
enlargement.
