Greetings all from Ecuador!
E-mail access is sporadic here, but just wanted to comment on the break up of DOS.
Here in Ecuador the Right-Wing parties have suddenly started bickering between
themselves thus turning anti-government sentiment from a struggle between the poor
mass organizations in the country that oppose capitalism and imperialism to one
between elite factions that support these two tendencies.
I feel that the "split" in the DOS will only serve to steel the Patriotic
anti-DOS/Djindjic vote from the SPS and put it in the hands of Kostunica, who will
then continue making the "difficult" compromises with the imperialist powers which
translate into:
1) dismantling the FRY
2) "globalizing" the economy in the region
3) allowing the occupation of the country under another clever euphamism the NDI, ICG,
and NED will certainly cook-up in one of their famous PDF format "analysis of the
situation in SouthEastern Europe" (like "voluntary cooperation pact" or something of
that nature...)
Anyway hope all is going well and glad to see that the fight continues. More info
