Actually, Geraldine Frasier-Moleketi is wrong about the WCAR being a victory
for her and her colonial paymasters. According to the current logic of the
media here in the West (for instance the "leftist" Toronto Star here took out
an editorial chastizing the highest ranking native leader in Canada for a
relatively measured critique of Canadian treatment of aboriginal people's he
made in Durban; not to mention the self-righteous indignation voiced across
the West over the audacity of poor states in daring to equate Zionism with
Racism or Slavery with something as dasterdly as a "war-crime", which is of
course the preserve of Serbian and Hutu politicians), the real victory for
the former colonial powers will be won when human trafficking and slavery is
reinstituted...And it might not actually be a long way off, what with
"migrant labour" and "guest worker" schemes increasingly being legalized as a
"humane solution" to the flows of people from the global South to the global
North and all....Wouldn't it be more humane, I wonder, to actually fight the
poverty causing these migrations instead of "humanely" forcing people to
seperate from their families and "humanely" forcing Third World nations to
EXPORT THEIR POPULATIONS to generate foreign currency reserves to pay back
monstrous debt burdens. Most poor country's now list the repatriation of
funds from their nationals as either the primary or secondary source of
foreign currency generation within the national current account balance.
FOREX reserves (the currencies used by Paris Club countries) are important
b/c they are the only type of currency that can then be recycled and send
back to Western banks and governments WITH THE ADDED BENEFIT OF INTEREST
TACKED ON!!!! In short poor country's are paying rich countries for their
nationals to work as SERVANTS in rich country's!!!!!!!! The scheme boils
down to this: We'll export our people so they can generate money for us to
pay you back for all you "aid" to our country's...Hmmm....makes you wonder,
eh? But it couldn't be called slavery, no, no, no...after all, as we learn
from the NYT, Reuters and other "reputable new outlets", that's only
something done by Africans and Arabs nowadays in places like Sudan or Yemen
not something done by respectable bankers and patrons of world culture...
cheers!
