When it is a matter of imperial purposes, the enemy can be shifted and
changed at will. For decades, the enemy was the communists and the Soviet
Union, but at other times it has been Serbs or Muslims. On the whole, since
the USSR's collapse, the portrayal of Muslims as the enemy is the most
persistent in the gallery of scapegoating - I remember the film in 1994,
True Lies, which portrayed Muslims as mad but ridiculous terrorists. I
remember watching the film and thinking that if Jews or blacks were
portrayed in that manner, it would spark outrage, but no, it was only
denigrating Muslims.
To me, it would make sense if those who are threatened or resist the New
World Order were to unite. The Russians and the Chinese might possibly
welcome the "Islamic fundamentalist threat" being dealt with now, but
perhaps they too will fall foul of the NWO themselves later.
With that perspective in mind, it seems curiously short-sighted for Serbs to
rub their hands in glee that the enemy in Washington's sights is now Muslim,
because as Benjamin Franklin once said, "If we do not hang together, we will
hang separately."
