[Announcer] The turn of the year is traditionally linked to stocktaking. Today it was the turn of the Defense Ministry. Defense Minister Jozef Stank who labeled the past year as successful. The reform of armed forces and the professionalization of our army has been launched. The Defense Ministry itself did not escape changes either. The ministry's efforts are now focused on this year's NATO summit in Prague, at which Slovakia might receive an invitation to join the group. [Reporter] According to Jozef Stank, no-one doubts any more our country's orientation - a fact positively assessed also by NATO representatives. And although concerns about the result of the September parliamentary election become ever more frequent, the defense minister remains calm: [Stank] I am sure that the government that will take office in Slovakia after the elections will be trustworthy. So, from this point of view, we stand a chance of receiving the invitation. [Reporter] Meeting military criteria should not pose any obstacles to our entry into the alliance...
