Comrade Kosta!
We can stop with sending of our documents. But, 'Some notes on NATO' we
posted just to clear up that talk about 'pro-Western shit'. You may see
there that we oppose to NATO presence in ex-Yu in fact. We are not guilty
because there wasn't any leftist forces capable to stop nationalistic, and
fascistic slaughter in Bosnia. We just say that war would continue (since
all local nationalistic leaders need it for their goals) for
who-knows-how-long in case that NATO forces imposed peace to these bastards.
Now, when we have a peace, we are to build real left forces which should
send NATO forces out even with the arms in our hands. Does the fact that we
oppose to present comprador-bourgeoisie in Serbia, and that we constantly
critique policy of USA, that we organize demonstrations against USA and
NATO, etc, told you anything on our position toward them?
For Communism,

Dear milan,
what were the Serbs supposed to do? They were slaughtered like sheep anyway, cleansed from the whole of Croatia and Kosovo. Living in small ghettoes now like K-Mitrovica, or Orahovac, or the big ghetto known as the Republika Srpska. The USA and Germany instigated and strenghtened the secessionist forces in the SFRY and undermined the rule of the Federal Presidency and the JNA that was trying to disarm all the illegal ethnic militias throughout the territory of the SFRY (Croat, Slovene, Serb and Muslim). It is a sad and lamentable fact that Izetbegovic with US backing chose the war in Bosnia, just as it is a fact that the slaughter in Bosnia continued with US instigation. Althought most of 1994 saw a lull in fighting and an urge for peace, new offensives were launched by US-armed and trained forces from Bihac (the 5th Corps), in the Medak Pocket, over the whole of Krajina and throughout North-Western Bosnia up to Banja Luka. These offensives only brought the "peace" of the grave to the Balkans and sowed the seeds of future bloodshed in the region. Dayton is an unsustainable document, and like any "peace" imposed by foreign occupiers will not outlast their presence. For all intents and purposes by late 1993 the war in Bosnia was already over. The mass killings on all three sides had stopped - largely b/c minority populations moved out of predominantly Serb, Muslim, or Croat regions - and the positions of the combatants were static (this reflects the fact that most of the local fighting was defensive in nature, other than for strategic corridors or when backed by foreign sponsors to occupy territories inhabited by an opposing ethnic group). The only thing that prolonged the war was US and German backing for the Ustasha and Islamist regimes and their desire to reverse the strategic losses suffered early in the brutal intercommunal fighting that wracked Croatia and Bosnia between 1991-1993. The victims of these battles were of all three ethnic groups and the refugee populations corresponded roughly to their actual population size in these two republics (although the Serbs with somewhat more than 2-million people in Croatia and Bosnia, had 1-million refugees by 1993 from these two republics out of a total refugee population of some 2.1 million meaning the Serbs were the largest victims of ethnic cleansing in both absolute and relative terms, followed by the Muslims). The point however isn't who suffered the most, but to highlight the fact that none of this would have happened if the West didn't systematically back the worst of the neo-fascist forces, including the right-wing of the Bosnian Serb leadership - like Plavsic and her cronnies - when Milosevic abandoned them after the failure of the Vance-Owen Peace Plan (VOPP). So...the long and the short of it is that NATO by no means stopped the violence, but instead prolonged it for TWO YEARS, organized the single largest mass-exodus in European history since WWII (by finishing the expulsion of the Krajina Serbs that Tudjman had begun in 1990), and imposed the first military protectorate of Western powers in the world since the process of decolonization triumphantly liberated the peoples of Africa and Asia in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Bosnia now is a military dictatorship run by an Austrian propped up by NATO and economically dominated by German banks!!!! How's that for an international division of labour. Dayton is the blueprint upon which future Western interventions are to be consolidated (including in Kosovo, East Timor, and now day by day Afghanistan, perhaps Sierra Leone, Congo, Zimbabwe, Venezuela, and many other countries resisting US diktat, including one day China, India and Russia when they are properly encircled). Communism will never flourish while the boot of NATO spreads throughout the world, this is why it must be opposed at all costs, always....
