PEACEKEEPERS SHOOT AT KOSOVO VILLAGE
BELGRADE, March 13, 2002. /From RIA Novosti's
Aleksander Slabynko./ - German servicemen from the
international peacekeeping forces in Kosovo opened
fire last night at the community Donje Ljubine outside
Prizren, a town near the Macedonian border.
The locals claim that seven charges were fired at the
village. Five houses were destroyed and several people
received various injuries.
International peacekeeping forces or UN civil
mission's police have yet made no official statements
concerning this incident.
Major Torsteinn Pudger from the multi-national brigade
said during a press conference on Wednesday that an
investigation has been launched and experts are
working on the site.
