����BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Zhang Wannian, vice-chairman
of the Central Military Commission, met here Tuesday with Abbas
ArabiAbdalla, Chief of General Staff of Sudan, and his party.
����Zhang said that since the diplomatic relations were
establishedbetween China and Sudan in 1959, the two sides had carried out
wide and effective cooperation in various areas such as politics,
economics and the military.
����The frequent visits of different level leaders between the two
countries deepened the mutual understanding and friendship. Relations
between the two armies were an important part of bilateral relations and
remarkable progress had been achieved in areas such as training.
����He expressed gratitude for Sudan's steady support in areas suchas
human rights and the Taiwan issue.
����Abbas thanked China for its support of Sudan in international
affairs. He said the cooperation between two armies had been strengthened
continuously.
����Kui Fulin, deputy chief of the General Staff of the Chinese
People's Liberation Army, and Abdelhameed Abdeen Mohamed,
Sudaneseambassador to China, were present at the meeting. Enditem
