SOLIDARITY WITH PALESTINE
PRESS RELEASE
The Socialist Party of Serbia condemns the dangerous escalation
of violence of Israeli army against Palestinian people and Palestinian
authorities.
Immediate cease-fire, withdrawal of Israeli troops from
Palestinian cities and continuation of the peace process, with full respect
of all relevant UN Security Council resolutions, are the imperatives.
The Socialist Party of Serbia is determined to protect the
historical friendship and mutual solidarity between the peoples of
Yugoslavia and Palestine and underlines its support to a just solution of
the crisis which must incorporate Israeli withdrawal from all occupied
territories and conditions for normal functioning of the State of Palestine,
with the building of confidence and cooperation of all peoples and states in
the region, without interference of out-of-regional factors.
The Socialist Party of Serbia repeats the warning that struggle
against the terrorism in the world can be fought only within the frameworks
of the Organization of United Nations on the basis of generally accepted
rules and principles of UN Charter. Biggest danger for the world is the
sponsored terrorism and its misuse as pretext for brutal attacks on freedom
and sovereignty of peoples and for imposing the dictatorship in the
international relations.
