DOS govt has signed with EU car insurances an agreement that enables now (since March 1rst) all cars registred in EU to enter the Territory of FRY without having to pay an entry tax any more. In other terms green cards from EU registered cars are now supposed to be valid in YU. In fact they are not since customs still now ask travellers to pay a fee of 80 euro for a A category car. Customs officers explain to the drivers that they do so on orders from the Minister of Finances Djelic. They argue that since EU insurances have not updated yet the green cards they issued (on which the mention to "YU" is crossed), they have the right to ask for a fee. This burglary will last for at least 3 additionnal months until most EU insurance companies send new updated green cards to their members. This is pure racket.
