It happened in the New Lodge area at about 0230 BST on Saturday. The police and Army were attacked with stones and bottles while they were examining the scene. The Army would not comment on the accident, and said it was now a police matter. But a spokesman said the driver of the vehicle was badly shaken. The accident happened on the Antrim Road close to Duncairn Gardens, said police.
