Roger King told reporters Friday. Brown & Root managers are scheduled to begin arriving at Bagram on Tuesday, and current plans call for the contractors to assume responsibility for food service at the end of the month, King said. Later, they will take over the shower facilities, which currently provide only sporadic water pressure and hot water, King said. Brown & Root is associated in many servicemembers� minds with such comforts as hot, fresh food, working showers and good roads. Troops here are anticipating the contractor�s arrival � especially those who have experienced what Brown & Root has done in places such as Bosnia and Kosovo. �Once Brown & Root gets in, it�s all good,� a female soldier who was on her way to Bagram said Wednesday. She declined to be identified by name.
