Yes, and not only to demand the abolition of NATO, but the abolition of all war, as it shows how the military is a threat to all life on earth. For the past ten years, groups have been pressuring the military to stop using sonar and low-frequency noises under water, as it's been known for quite some time that this is very harmful to whales. It causes some to go deaf, and some to lose their navigation abilities. Wouldn't you know it, the military has always denied these studies. peacefully yours, Nancy Hey Rick Rozoff wrote: > HTTP://WWW.STOPNATO.ORG.UK > --------------------------- > > http://www.theage.com.au/articles/2002/09/26/1032734276307.html > > [Yet another reason to demand its abolition] > > NATO suspected after eight whales die > September 27 2002 > By Kenneth Weiss > Los Angeles > > At least a dozen whales beached themselves in the > Canary Islands off the coast of western Africa this > week after a NATO exercise that involved warships and > submarines. > > Eight of the whales died.
