Dear friends,
The Belgian administration has
started the procedure to expulse a family of refugees,
from Prizren - Kosovo. They are from the Turkish
minority, fled because of the danger and came to
belgium Grand-Rieu.
I met them yesterday, they are really very nice
people, they are very afraid to be forced to return,
they have no place to go, the children ( the last two
are 9 and 5) are now very well integrated in their
schools, with many friends.
Their small village has created a wonderful
solidarity, they are very active to save this family.
Yesterday, we had a very interesting and touching
debate after my film The Damned of Kosovo.
How can you help ? Send as soon as possible the
documents you have or you can get in order to prove
that the situation is not safe there. Specially recent
testimonies and documents. In any language. Their
lawyer and the committe are going into appeal and they
need to build a very strong case.
Please send also all possible addresses of other
experts, witnesses, associations for protection of
refugees, NGO's...
