ATHENS -- About 2,000 anti-war demonstrators protested Sunday outside a small United States Navy base on the Mediterranean island of Crete against a possible American-led invasion of Iraq. The military base in Souda Bay, Crete, supports the U.S. Navy and Air Force spy planes, and could play an important role in an attack on Iraq.
