Civil Georgia November 20, 2009 Biden Calls for Fulfilling Promises of Rose Revolution Tbilisi: U.S. Vice President Joe Biden held a phone conversation with President Saakashvili on November 18 to discuss democratic reforms in Georgia and to reiterate the United States’ “strong support” for Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, the White House reported. “The Vice President underscored the importance of sustaining the commitment to democratic reform to fulfill the promise of the Rose Revolution,” the White House said.
