Associated Press November 23, 2009 NATO urging more allied forces in Afghanistan KABUL: NATO officials say the organization wants other nations to commit more forces to Afghanistan ahead of President Barack Obama's decision on whether to send in more troops. There are currently about 71,000 NATO troops in the country, nearly half of them American. Obama is expected to announce in the next two weeks whether he'll add as many as 40,000 more troops to the 36,000 U.S. military troops station in Afghanistan. The debate over troop levels continued today as the military announced that four U.S. troops were killed during a 24-hour period in Afghanistan. Three of those deaths occurred yesterday, while the fourth happened today in eastern Afghanistan. =========================== Stop NATO http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stopnato Blog site: http://rickrozoff.wordpress.com/ To subscribe, send an e-mail to: [email protected] or [email protected] Daily digest option available. ============================== --------------------------- ANTI-NATO INFORMATION LIST --^---------------------------------------------------------------- This email was sent to: [email protected] EASY UNSUBSCRIBE click here: http://topica.com/u/?a84x2u.bNM5nn.YXJjaGl2 Or send an email to: [email protected] For Topica's complete suite of email marketing solutions visit: http://www.topica.com/?p=TEXFOOTER --^----------------------------------------------------------------
