Azertag Novemver 24, 2009 Azerbaijan is interested in deepening cooperation with U.S.: FM Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov met with U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Celeste Wallander to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as regional global security issues on Nov. 23. Wallander said the U.S. praises Azerbaijan`s contribution to counter-terrorism operations, in particular, the country`s efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan.
