Subject: South Koreans protest against the re-dispatch to Afghanistan Hello, all 1. Thought it may help you to know what’s happening in South Korea regarding the issue of the re-dispatch to Afghanistan. South Korea is planned to be within the expanded area of NATO (Called Global Partnership). That is why it is worth to watch it. South Korea has withdrawn her about 200 soldiers in 2007 from Afghanistan after 23 Christians were captured and two were killed there. But the current Lee Myung Bak government, with its willingly strengthened war alliance with the United States has dangerously considered the re-dispatch to Afghanistan with combat troops included (even though he calls it as protection force for the protection of the provincial reconstruction team which is military itself). The size is currently officially known 400. We, South Korean activists strongly claim, "Stop the Afghanistan war, End the War alliance, and No Korean Troops to Afghanistan' The South Korean activists protested during Obama visit, Nov. 18, and 19 regarding the re-dispatch issue. I collected some information on it, including protest photos in this site. Hope this help to share the info. regarding the issue of Afghanistan. http://nobasestorieskorea.blogspot.com/2009/11/blog-collection-no-korean-troops-in.html 2. Otherwise, Please boycott Samsung, one of the biggest company in South Korea. Many of you can see Samsung logo attached computers, TVs in your countries. Recently Asian workers made a statement against Samsung for its repression of workers (even threat of killing of the union workers). Furthermore, it is infamous to make the net centric system in the naval combat system. Please see here. http://nobasestorieskorea.blogspot.com/2009/11/text-fwd-asian-workers-united-in.html Thanks, all.
