Voice of Russia November 27, 2009 NATO to send more troops to Afghanistan NATO is planning increase its troop contingent in Afghanistan by 4,000-5,000 servicemen early next year. A NATO spokesman told reporters on Friday the ultimate decision would be made at a meeting in NATO’s Allied Military Headquarters in the Belgian town of Mons.
