PRISTINA: The U.S. ambassador in Kosovo says his country completely supports the plan for the integration of north Kosovo into the Kosovo legal system. After meeting with Kosovo Justice Minister Nekibe Kelmendi, Christopher Dell said that Serbia’s efforts to once again impose its legal system on Kosovo are a clear violation of the UN Security Council’s Resolution 1244. “This resolution recognizes Kosovo’s territorial integrity and the fact that there is only one legal system in Kosovo. All countries that do not recognize Kosovo still recognize the validity of Resolution 1244,” Dell noted. Dell and Kelmendi signed a memorandum of understanding for help from the American government for Kosovo towards producing key legal solutions.
