Yes. But it doesn't work in v3 because of the different way that token generation is handled (ANTLR v2 always copied the token text; to improve performance v3 doesn't). There isn't really any particular reason why the functionality couldn't be re-implemented in v3 (and it'd be useful in quite a few cases), but that's still sitting on the wishlist.
