In 'The Definitive ANTLR Reference" on pg. 49 the two main parts of a rule are identified by the comments,
1. "predict which alternative will succeed ..." 2. "now we know which alt will succeed, ..." Does any body know if these parts have a formal name and what are they? Is there a reference on the Internet naming them?
