The AOLSERVER-ANNOUNCE listserv is now in place. The purpose of this
listserv is to provide timely, infrequent announcements regarding
product releases and chat meeting times. At this time, only project
admins (aka the core team plus a few extra) can post to this listserv.
Any resulting discussion should take place on the AOLSERVER listserv.
This will allow people to manage the way they receive these two types of
communications differently.

However....

In the process of setting up the AOLSERVER-ANNOUNCE listserv, I managed
to bulk drop/add the members of the AOLSERVER listserv. The result is
that everyone still has membership, but your options have likely gone
back to the defaults. This will probably be most obvious to those of you
who had 'digest' mode set. Those of you who had the 'conceal' option set
should not need to worry as both listservs already only allow the REVIEW
command for the list owners (and they get the concealed names anyway).
Many, many apologies for this inconvenience.

To reset your options, you can do one of the following:

Go to http://listserv.aol.com/cgi-bin/wa and use 'subscriber's corner'
to manage your options.

or

send an e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the appropriate
commands (send the text 'INFO REFCARD' if you need a summary of commands
available)

(note: please do not send commands to the actual listerv!
([EMAIL PROTECTED]))

We highly recommend that you do not set the digest option on the
AOLSERVER-ANNOUNCE listserv, as that would defeat its purpose....
