I believe the answer lies in /System/Library/StartupItems. I haven't been
able to get this to work myself, but have seen a lot of posts the suggest
this is how it's done. You'll then need to create an AOLServer directory
within /System/Library/StartupItems. In the AOLServer directory there are
two files you need: StartupParameters.plist, AOLServer. AOLServer a
executable file that basically kicks off /usr/local/aolserver/bin/nsd. Take
a look at the other directories in StartupItems. Like I said, haven't had
any success with this, but I think this is the right place to begin the
hunt.

Subject: [AOLSERVER] Another AOLserver on OS X Question
Hi all,
Has anyone gotten AOLserver to run on OS X @ startup, ie: inittab?
Since OS X doesn't have one, I got a little lost trying to set it up.
Thanks!
