Hi! Just joined the list, after making another attempt, this time with success, at getting AOLserver to run under NetBSD. This OS does not currently support POSIX threads (or any threads, actually), although support is planned for the future. I've tried with a couple of different pthreads implementations in the past, and then I got wind of the PTL project (see <http://www.media.osaka-cu.ac.jp/~k-abe/PTL/>). After installing PTL (cd /usr/pkgsrc/devel/ptl2; make install), it turned out to be a snap to get AOLserver working. I needed to make a few little changes, but all in all it took me about 15 minutes of work to get there, including the interface to PostgreSQL. (By the way, where is that bit hosted these days? I found version 3.0 of the nspostgres kit, but I understand a newer one exists...?) My changes to the current CVS on Sourceforge are attached.
