Seriously, the name of the game is integration.  You can take your
Python tools & integrate them with the Tcl functionality if you want.
I believe the same to be true of Java + AOLserver.

A question better answered is your second one -- moving away from Tcl
is unlikely to happen.  Moving towards other languages has already
happened and seems like a good idea.  More possibilities != bad.
