I was just wondering if there was a place (outside of the mailing list) where the community chats in real-time in an ad-hoc fashion, so that when I'm going through a development spurt I can connect with other developers at the spur of the moment. I'm perpetually connected to 3 different IRC networks on a regular basis, and I very occassionally get on AOL IM and MSN Messenger, and very very infrequently use ICQ. Perhaps my next project is to create an IRC bot that acts as a gateway to AOL IM using the code from the MiniTik AOL IM client.
