Well, I'd like to use name-based vhosting without using nsvhr.

DOn't know if it slows down benchmarks much, that's not a
problem. However, I do plan to use AOL on many domains (over 20 at least
:) so it wouldn't be too convenient to setup 20 nsd's (even combined with
nsunix instead nssock proxy'ing). That's why I prefer using one
nsd. Especially that I do not use anything more than a handler for my type
of files and ADP, I also use only 1 database, global for each domain... In
this case it's definitely easier to use 1 nsd process...
