Then it's not a "release" of anything, and it doesn't have a version
number.  You should have announced that you'd made available a binary
snapshot of AOLserver, built from the current CVS sources plus your
own modifications, including XML support and the PostgreSQL backend.

Claiming that it's an "unofficial release of 4.0 beta 2" is highly
misleading, since your snapshot has no clearly defined relationship to
what may or may not in the future be designated by that version
identifier.

But hey, kudos for doing the work and making the result available! :-)
