[AOLSERVER] exec and freebsd

We're having a problem running exec on a FreeBSD installation.  We
applied the patch posted on the OpenACS bulletin board by Michael
Braithwaite on Aug. 15, 2001 (in thread/signal.c) - but it doesn't fix
the error we get when trying exec:

Error: error reading output from command: interrupted system call
error reading output from command: interrupted system call
    while executing
"exec perl test1.pl"
    invoked from within

Is there another fix for this problem?
