I just tried building AOLserver 4.x off the HEAD in CVS under
a brand new install of Cygwin_98 (using "current" not "experimental")
and it wouldn't compile out-of-the-box.
After much hacking around, I got to a point I couldn't get
past. Compiling tcl8.3.4/generic/tclIOUtil.c, gcc spits out
this error:
./../generic/tclIOUtil.c:63: initializer element is not constant
./../generic/tclIOUtil.c:63: (near initialization for `defaultStatProc.proc')
./../generic/tclIOUtil.c:68: Internal compiler error, output_operand_lossage `invalid
expression as operand'
{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:2377: Warning: partial line at end of file ignored
Is this a Cygwin gcc/binutils problem? Cygwin _loves_ to spit
out the "initializer element is not constant" warning even though
gcc under linux doesn't.
