AOL has used AOLserver on HP-UX for a number of production systems both internally and customer-visible. www.aol.com used to have HP-UX boxes in the rotation, but I believe they were eventually phased out (for a number of reasons, but not for lack of compabitility with AOLserver). Of course, AOL used only AOL-developed modules on those boxes.
I was told by AOL operations folks that one thing they really liked about HP-UX is that it tended to fail gracefully; you got lots of warning that there was a problem, so you had time to respond. Failures on other platforms seemed more abrupt. Pete. On Thursday, February 14, 2002, at 07:32 PM, Jerry Asher wrote: > Does anyone run AOLserver in production on HPUX?
