I have qmail running on localhost but might have set something up wrong. I try 'telnet localhost' and it responds 'telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused'. Email is sent out fine from the server though, I just get that 220 message in my logs all the time and it causes some pages to put up a server error. And yes, I did tell aolserver the mailhost was on localhost. How do you specify port 25, I thought it was 'telnet localhost:25'? I removed the telnet daemon from my server and only allow ssh, does that pose a problem? I appreciate all your help. -Jason
